This Privacy Policy describes how Je Ne Sais Quoi Productions LLC, doing business as Brick and Mortar Conferences ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Bluegrass Brick & Mortar Summit ("the Event"), any future events we produce, and the websites, promoter portal, and other tools we use to run them (together, "our platform").
This Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern your use of our platform and attendance at the Event.
If you purchase a ticket: your name, email address, and payment information (handled by our payment processor — see Section 5).
If you create a promoter account: your name, email address, phone number, and, if provided, your mailing address; your chosen payout method and payout handle (for example, a Venmo username, PayPal email, or mailing address for a check); and, once implemented, tax information submitted through a separate secure system described in Section 2.4.
If you upload video or other content: the video, image, or written content itself, which may include your voice, likeness, and anything you choose to say or show in it.
If you apply to speak: your proposed topic, your description of the value and proof behind it, your pitch, and any link or video you submit as part of the application.
If you contact us directly: whatever information you choose to include in that communication.
When you use a tracking link, visit our ticket or promoter pages, or interact with our platform, we may automatically log: which page or link you accessed, the referral or promoter code associated with that link (if any), and the date and time of that interaction. Our hosting, email, and platform providers may also automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device information, consistent with their own standard practices.
Our platform uses referral codes (passed as a link parameter, e.g., ?ref=code) rather than traditional third-party advertising cookies to track which promoter, if any, is associated with a given click or sale. This information is used solely to calculate promoter commission and platform statistics, as described in our Terms of Service, and is not sold or shared with advertisers.
We currently collect only your chosen payout method and payout handle (Section 2.1). We do not currently collect Social Security Numbers, Employer Identification Numbers, or other tax identification information through this platform. When we do implement tax form collection (such as a W-9 or W-8BEN), that information will be submitted through a separate, dedicated, encrypted system that does not pass through or get stored in our general application database, and access to it will be restricted accordingly.
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers directly; that information is handled entirely by our payment processor.
We use the information described above to:
Video content uploaded by promoters and speaker applicants is stored and may be displayed publicly on the tracking link or page it was created for, as well as elsewhere on our platform, consistent with the content license described in our Terms of Service. If you upload a video, understand that it may be seen by ticket buyers, other promoters, or the general public, depending on where it is used.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties (such as data brokers or advertisers) for their own independent use, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We do share information with service providers who help us operate our platform, including:
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Business transfers. If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of some or all of its business or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This is distinct from — and is not — a "sale" of your personal information to a third party as described above; it is a transfer of the business itself, and this Policy (or a materially similar successor policy) would continue to govern your information under the new ownership.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to operate the Event and Promoter Program, including using it as a starting point for future events we produce under this or related brands. We do not currently have a fixed deletion schedule. You may request that we delete your information at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 11; we will honor that request except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, tax or financial records) or where retention is necessary to resolve an existing dispute.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, including relying on our service providers' own security measures. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our platform is not directed to children, and you must be 18 or older to purchase a ticket, create a promoter account, or submit a speaker application. We do not knowingly collect personal information through our platform from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at the address in Section 11 and we will address it. This is separate from Event attendance itself, which is not age-restricted for guests accompanying an adult ticket holder — see our Terms of Service for details on minor attendance and our Minor Liability Waiver.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (which, again, we do not do). As a matter of policy, we extend these same basic rights — access, correction, deletion, and confirmation that we do not sell your data — to anyone in the United States who contacts us, regardless of your state of residence or whether a specific state law technically applies to us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
See also the California-specific notice in our Terms of Service (Section 19) regarding the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
Nevada law permits residents to opt out of the sale of certain personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under Nevada law; if you would still like to submit a request, contact us at the address in Section 11.
Our platform and the Event are operated in and directed toward the United States. If you access our platform from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our platform with a new "Last updated" date, and, for material changes, will make reasonable efforts to notify promoters via email or the promoter dashboard. Continued use of our platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
